Who writes this

We want to embrace a more outdoor lifestyle — spending time together, socialising, exploring — but by walking through Liverpool rather than sitting in a pub. So we do a walk, we write it up, we share the route. Over time we build a personal map of the city we've explored on foot.

The name references Liverpool's origins: the "Liver Pool" was the tidal creek where everything began. Nine million people emigrated through this city between 1830 and 1930. It was the gateway, the departure point, the threshold.

We're not leaving. We're arriving.

No sponsored routes, no affiliate boots. Every walk carries a "Good for / Avoid" pair, and the "Avoid" is genuine. If a place is worth the detour we'll say so; if it isn't, we'll say that too.
